Pictures of bluebells always make me miss Islay at this time of year. Partly because I never know how well they are showing in and around my trees at Beach Cottage. These are in the lovely mature wood at Bridgend, in the center of Islay. The land is owned by Islay Estates, who do a good job of maintaining the diverse collection of trees and making them accessible to everyone. They were not always so enlightened. More of which at a later date, if I’m spared.
